WTPA Returns to Lancaster Following 4th of July Break!

With the Fourth of July weekend done and over with, that can only mean one thing, WTPA pulling returns! The action returns in a big way as we return to one of the hidden gems of the 2021 season in Lancaster, WI and the Full Throttle Shootout. With an excellent balance of NTPA Region III and WTPA State classes, it’s going to provide a show to entertain all pulling enthusiasts.

The Full Throttle Shootout, in its second year now at the Grant County Fairgrounds, features many things all us pulling fans have come to love and appreciate. It all starts with that down to earth and passionate event crew. We caught up with event promoter, Jeff Bahl (“Doctor Deere” Limited Pro Stock Puller) and his comments spoke loudly of the crew and show they have put together.

“We were blown away with our 2021 turn out, especially with the weather we had. We had a tremendous group of volunteers, sponsors, and a committee to make the show successful. We were able to donate money back to four local Fire and EMS departments because of it. We’re looking to do it all again this year, bringing back the seven power classes for a Friday night show. Food and beer will be available on the grounds, as well as ice cream! It’s a lot of fun putting on a community event that is fun for all ages. It’s a bonus that we get to sling some dirt and blow some smoke doing it!”

A promoter, a crew and a town that eagerly awaits to put on a pulling event for you, no doubt. The WTPA and its pullers have made this event a place worth traveling over the last few years and it’s only gotten bigger since the big move. The spacious Grant County Fairgrounds has allowed for more pit parking, fan parking and an opportunity for more amenities such as food choices and pulling classes. It’s an event you have to see in person and you have the chance to do it this Friday night at 7:00PM in Lancaster, WI….lets go pulling!
