The Road Ends in Marshfield for 2022
They say all good things must come to an end, in this case, the 2022 WTPA season. But it’s also said around Wisconsin that one big party to end the season is necessary. Enter the Allen Baehr Memorial Truck & Tractor Pull this Saturday evening at the Marshfield Motor Speedway. It’s the grand finale that we all want and deserve pulling fans. And yes, you are invited. In fact, you’re all invited!
Returning for its second edition, the Allen Baehr Memorial has gained significant steam since the groundwork was laid one year ago. The Baehr family, in conjunction with the WTPA and the Speedway, has a brand new and all too exciting show to showcase this Saturday. It has new classes (diesel trucks!), it has more competitors battling for those final points to crown champions and most notably, it has new opportunities to take in the show with a new view.
The WTPA will highlight six classes on the evening. A late announcement also has the show bringing another excellent local class forward to follow the WTPA show. All that pulling for a very reasonable family entertainment price. It’s a win-win for all parties involved. Not to mention, you can still get to the show early and travel the pits to see these magnificent machines in person. That alone can be worth the price of admission.
But as we push forward with the final event of the year, we all must take a moment to recognize the significance of this show. It’s not just about pulling or family, it’s about BOTH. Allen was a true architect of this very sport. He was the founder of the Big Blue Pulling Team (who now hosts this show) and he did a lot for the sport, locally and regionally. His family knew the only appropriate way to honor him was to “pull” for him. And that is exactly what we are all going to do Saturday night, one way or another. The crew behind this event are ready to make it happen and now we just ask that YOU join us.
